Itinerary

Sacred Shrines in Peru

Day 1

Arrival to Lima

Welcome to Lima! You will be greeted at the airport by a representative who will assist you with your luggage and check in to the hotel.

Day 2

Lima to Pisco

You will be transferred by private car at 7 am for your 227 km/141 mile journey south along the Panamericana highway to the seaside town of Pisco (about two and a half hours). Upon arrival, you will be taken to the airstrip where you will prepare for your flight at 11:00 hrs. to see the Nazca and Palpa Lines, enormous drawings of animals, geometric figures and birds ranging up to 300 m/984ft in size, etched into 220 km2 of desert plains.

After dinner there will be a group orientation meeting and an introduction to this special program with a ceremony of Mother Water.

Day 3

Nazca

You will enjoy Ballestas Islands, an archipelago of islands with abundant wildlife (many types of birds and sea lions). In the afternoon, at the hotel there will be a brief ceremony of Kintu (coca leaves) to take advantage of the energies of Mother Earth.

Day 4

Nazca to Cusco

You will travel to Cusco by the highway approximately 12 to 16 hours with a distance of 662km/1065.73miles. Some stops on route to enjoy the scenic beauty according to the geographic regions with a variety of flora and fauna. The highest point is the Pass of Yauriviri at 4.400 m/14, 432ft.

Cusco - Transfer to the Hotel where you will meet a representative who will assist  with your luggage and check-in. The next hours must be to relax and allow your body to acclimate to the altitude (3400m / 11,150 ft).

Day 5

Cusco

You will be taken to the Inkan ritual fountain at Tambomachay, a unique place to start our program on Andean Cosmology. Previously, was a ceremony worshiping the water by the ocean, in this case this is a Puqio (spring). Where there is water, there is life in the Andes. For the Andean people water is sacred. Therefore, we invite you to participate in a water ceremony to balance and open you to the energies of the Andes. Afterwards, you will continue on with a visit to the sacred sites beginning by Qenqo and then at Sacsaywaman overlooking the city of Cusco. Outstanding stonework and structures weighing hundreds of tons, which will leave you awe.

In Cusco city, you will have a walking tour to enjoy the charm of the people and view the Colonial and Inka architecture in the downtown area. After an early dinner there will be an Andean offering ceremony to Pachamama (Mother Earth). The intension of this will be for the wellbeing of the group as was practiced by Andean people for thousands of years, this healing ceremony (despacho) invites you into their spiritual world. The evening will finish with a fire ceremony.

Day 6

Cusco Sacred Valley

Pisac towns & ruins and Ollantaytambo

A trip of 1 hour to Pisac ruins (2900m/9514ft) that will give you spectacular Andean mountain scenery and amazing views of the Sacred Valley with its sacred river Willkamayu. Pisac is an extensive site located on the top of a hill, with stunning terracing, further you will encounter the Sacred Intihuatana neighborhood, the most beautiful area dedicated to their Gods and astronomical observation, a place of meditation and worship. After lunch you will explore the amazing fortress of Ollantaytambo. Then, you will go to the hotel and rest to be ready to participate in the harmonization ceremony.

Day 7

Sacred Valley - Machupicchu

This will be an important day because this pilgrimage will let you be open to sound, personal expression, communication and solidarity. It will take 5 to 6 hrs to arrive at one of the most sacred cities in South America, Machupicchu at 2,450 m/8,038 feet). At a later time, you will check in at the hotel and rest, there will be a sound healing, which will balances your chacras. Later, you will enjoy a delicious dinner.

Day 8

Machupicchu to Cusco

What a magnificent place is Machupicchu and its surroundings!  It is Peru's premier attraction. This is definitely one of the world's most amazing sights and will be unforgettable. You will have a guided visit that will help you understand more about this culture and its philosophy of life. There are several excursions you can do depending on your physical condition, time and availability:

Hike to Huaynapicchu. This is strenuous and is only recommended for people with a great fitness level and whom are not scared of heights. Total time is 2 hours.

Hike to Intipunku or Sun gate when you approach the back side of this place, you will see the original Inka Trail. From this point, you will have an amazing view of Machupicchu. Total time is 2 ½ hours round trip.

Hike to the Inka Bridge, this is a very nice walk and takes 40 minutes round trip. It will take you on a narrow Inka road with lush vegetation and then to a stone Inka bridge. Rating : Easy. After lunch, you will return to Cusco and have dinner.

Day 9

Cusco to Puno

Today, you will focus on Pachamama while you travel to Puno by the Interoceanic Highway. There will be some official stops en route with many opportunities for interact with the Andean people while they are working in their farms.  Being in Puno at the hotel, you will be part of a healing and flourishment ceremony. Later, you will enjoy dinner.

Day 10

Puno

A journey to visit the Uros Islands and Taquile by boat and learn how to make floating islands and how these people enjoy living there. In the evening a ceremony of gratitude to Pachamama (Mother Earth) and Mamaqocha (Mother Water) on Titicaca Lake.

Day 11

Puno to Lima

Departure transfer from hotel to airport and assistance.

Lima Arrival Transfer Airport-Hotel. If time allows, you may have dinner in a nice restaurant.

Lima Departure - Transfer Hotel - Airport. Our representative will assist you with your luggage and check in.
